MESOZOIC SEDIMENTS

Mesozoic sedimentary rocks are relatively rare across northeastern Nevada. Most exposures of these sediments are thin and discontinuous and are dominantly within White Pine and Elko Counties along the northeastern portion of the evaluation area. A few exposures are also present in the western portion of the area within Lander County. Several workers have suggested that Mesozoic sediments were once more broadly exposed, and have been largely removed by later erosion.
